The Swanburne Academy is a new online membership created by Maryrose Wood, author of The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place books.
It’s a monthly subscription with an extra-low founding members’ pricing offer that’s only available from August 10th through 14th. Learn more and enroll at www.swanburneacademy.com.
With new engaging, and educational, content every month, you can expect the same inventive approach to learning exhibited in the Incorrigible Children books, and some entertaining surprises, too (especially on the full moon!). Check out this fun video for an overview from Maryrose Wood herself.
Projects and activities will feature rich vocabulary, history, the creative arts, the natural world, and building character. From learning the use of a challenging new word, to investigating exactly why Russian music is so stormy, to inventing schools of art and learning how to write a prompt thank-you note, the Swanburne Academy promises to be a lot of fun.
Hands-on projects and activities will create learning samples and portfolio pieces. The membership will host a monthly DONEAWOO! party to celebrate accomplishments. Earning “Acorns and Biscuits” for completing activities helps keep engagement high and gives kids a chance to track their progress.
One membership per family covers your whole household, and content will include guidelines for including kids of different ages, from littles to teens. The one-time “Wise Founder” enrollment offer of $16 monthly (with a big discount for the annual pay option) is only good from August 10th through midnight on the 14th when the founders' enrollment closes, so act quick on this one! The site opens on September 1st.
About the books: You might know The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place books through Sarah Mackenzie’s Read-Aloud Revival recommended book lists, and they’re also featured in Julie Bogart’s Brave Writer program. This critically acclaimed middle-grade series about a teenaged governess and her three pupils who were actually raised by wolves has become a favorite with homeschooling families. All six books are available in paperback, ebook and highly praised audiobook versions. More about the books at www.maryrosewood.com.
