Even though the weather is warm in Southern California, we've officially entered the autumn season. It's a time of changing colors, bountiful harvest and spending time with family. We can't think of a better way to enjoy the season than by getting out and attending some fun, fall field trips!

Amy's Farm Field Trip: Tour of a Working Farm (& Visit the Pumpkin Patch!) - Ontario, CA
Join us on October 15 for a 1-hour tour of Amy's Farm in Ontario. We're so excited to tour a working farm that's modeling sustainable, urban farming while raising food that goes directly back into the local community!
They are a real, working polycultural farm focusing on sustainable, organic methods to farming. They provide fresh produce to the local community. They offer education with hands-on, guided tours to visitors of all ages through their educational 501c3 non-profit organization. Amy's Farm was founded in an effort to provide residents of San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties and surrounding areas the opportunity to visit and experience a true operating urban farm.
Farm tours are 60 minutes in length and include a garden walk, harvesting fresh produce to feed the animals, visiting the petting zoo, milking a cow, and visiting the horses. Groups and families will be mixed together at a maximum of 40 guests per tour.
We encourage you to visit the farmstand and the pumpkin patch after the tour! Amy's Farm is a non-profit and relies on donations and purchases at the farmstand.

Revolutionary War Living History Field Trip hosted by Celebration Education - Heritage Park, Cerritos, CA
Join us on Wednesday, October 27 at Heritage Park in Cerritos for a living history field trip hosted by Celebration Education. They've created a fun hour-long event reliving some of the most memorable events of the Revolutionary War. Using the backdrop of the Revolutionary War-era Boston replica on the play island of the park, your students will reenact the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere's ride, and the battles of Lexington and Concord. They'll finish up by dancing the Virginia Reel!
Celebration Education's field trips are open to ALL homeschoolers, you don't have to be a member of their program to participate.
