Lassen Volcanic National Park- Bumpass Hell Trailhead
Hike to one of Lassens most active geothermal areas. On this hike we will in counter bubbling mud pots, sulfur vents and boiling pools. The hike is a total of three miles and 500ft elevation gain. Recommended age is 3rd grade and up unless you know your child could handle this long of a hike.
Meet at the trailhead at 10AM. Lassen is a national park so you will need to pay $20 per vehicle to get into the park, unless you have a NP pass. If you have a 4th grader you can get the National Park Pass for free this year. Please carpool if you can.
Our family will be leaving the trailhead at 10:15AM at the latest. If you want to hike as a group please arrive by then. Shane is a geologist so he is SUPER fun to hike with. If you want to let us know you are coming, great. If you just want to show up, then please just show up by 10:15. We will go regardless of weather, unless there is a blizzard!
